Improving Energy Efficiency
We recognize that we can contribute to mitigating environmental challenges by reducing energy consumption across our operations. This also helps us lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and manage energy costs more effectively. Through our Environmental Management System, we monitor energy performance and carbon emissions, and identify opportunities to reduce our carbon footprint.
Our corporate sustainability strategy for reducing carbon emissions includes:
• Continuous evaluation and implementation of renewable energy options and energy-efficient technologies
• Use of 100% LED lighting in place of FTL, CFL, and halogen lamps
• Installation of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and energy monitoring systems
• Installation of a 235 kWp solar power plant on a lease model, catering to approximately 25% of our daytime energy consumption
• Replacement of outdated motors with latest-generation energy-efficient motors
• Installation of harmonic filters to improve power quality and reduce electrical losses
• Use of LPG as a cleaner-burning, green fuel in spray dryer operations
• Implementation of the PS 2.0 process, a more energy-efficient production system, to further optimize power usage
